Wedding at boathouse Tegernsee in Bad Wiessee
Let me tell you, Lake Tegernsee offers some great wedding venues. The boathouse, which belongs to the Hotel Terrassenhof, is one of them. In August, I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at “Bootshaus Tegernsee” with a wedding ceremony. What do you get here? An unbelievably great location including lake and mountain views!
Wedding at the Tegernsee boathouse
My bridal couple and their wedding party traveled from the USA for this wonderful location. As the proposal took place in Germany, they also wanted to get married in Germany – preferably in Bavaria. Together with wedding planner Uschi Glas from 4 Weddings & Events, they planned the big day from afar. They had never been to Lake Tegernsee before. Fortunately, the beautiful location in the middle of the mountains did not disappoint them.
The boathouse is located directly at the lake, or basically on the Lake Tegernsee in Bad Wiessee. It offers space for up to 100 guests. The wedding ceremony can then take place in the garden of the Hotel Terrassenhof, for example, as can the champagne reception with beer barrel tapping. It becomes very special when the sun gradually sets and bathes Lake Tegernsee in golden light. As a mountain girl and photographer at Lake Tegernsee, this makes my heart beat faster!
