Engangement Photos at Lake Eibsee
This year I went to the famous Eibsee which is located at the foot of the Zugspitze several times for photo shoots. Whether for a couple shoot or for wedding photos, the mountain lake is something very special. Located near Garmisch-Partenkirchen, in Grainau to be precise, the 177-hectare lake stands out with its turquoise blue color. The Wetterstein mountain range with the Zugspitze forms the backdrop. This magical place offers great spots for a photo shoot at any time of year. Maybe also for you?
Professional photoshooting at Eibsee – a place for special pictures
In summer I had the pleasure of photographing this couple on the occasion of their engagement. It was their first visit to Lake Eibsee and it was fun to show them around and visit the great photo spots. In 2024, the lake had a very high water level, making the gravel banks inaccessible. Nevertheless, we found some great spots. In addition to the Eibsee, we also took photos at the Obersee “next door”.
Tip: I always like to go to the Eibsee for photo shoots in the morning. It’s less busy then and I personally really like the morning light there.
