Wedding Photographer in South Tirl – Adventure Session Tre Cime di Lavaredo
On my list of the most beautiful mountains in the world, the Dolomites in South-Tirol are second place (number one is already taken by Patagonia). As a wedding photographer with a heart for mountains, a trip to South-Tirol is always a highlight. No matter if on a private or professional trip. South-Tirol is remarkable with its breathtaking landscape, warm people and wild nature. To combine all of these aspects with a wedding couple is truly what makes my heart beat faster.
Adventure Session for your Anniversary – Wedding Photographer in South-Tirol
The Adventure Session with Laura and Ale was something special. The couple celebrated their 10 year wedding anniversary. For this important date, both got dressed up and took on the scenic mountains around Cortina d’Ampezzo in South-Tirol with me.
Wedding pictures at the Tre Cime di Lavaredo
The day started early at 6 am. To the toll gate it was about an hour drive. Our plan was to arrive at the parking lot at the Auronzo hut just before sunrise. We were not prepared that the access only opens from 8 am, starting mid October which was just some days before our arrival. This is a precaution because of the low temperatures and taking care of icy roads. Even trying to get a special permit from the authorities upfront, was denied. We still tried our luck and arrived at the toll gate at 7 am, in vain. So we only had one choice, to wait it out and watch the sunrise from below. As a photographer my heart was sore, but when one is creative on nature’s playground, one knows how to turn even such situations to the better.
What is an Adventure Session in the mountains?
In preparation for our Adventure Session we agree on a mountain range and a location or a hike. Laura and Ale decided on South-Tirol. Of course taking pictures are our ultimate goal for the day, but I want to create an all round adventure for you. We are spending the day according to your preferences. Time can tick slow and we capture sunrise or sunset at your pace. In between you can relax. Or we can even go on an adventure together and discover new locations by hiking, or concluding with an overnight stay on top of the mountain. Everything is possible!

A day just for you (and breathtaking pictures)
For Laura and Ale we created a more relaxed day. They wanted adventure, beautiful pictures and some time spent together for their 10 year anniversary. And for those who like to be more active, we could plan some short exploration hikes between photo shoots or combine the day with an overnight stay at a hut on top of the mountain. We could even turn your schedule into an elopement with a dream ceremony, or just formally at the authorities. That’s what I enjoy a lot, these kind of wedding shoots. They are totally flexible and adaptable.
Sunset with Wedding Vows
For the second half of the schedule, after a break, we took off to the next location of the day. Not even a wedding photographer can maintain a dry eye when capturing such a dreamy wedding shoot in South-Tirol. We took pictures until the sun completely disappeared from the horizon. Happy and content, we headed back to our accomodation for dinner.
