For many people, the mountains are a place of longing, a haven of peace and a place of strength. More and more couples decide to say “I do” in a beautiful mountain setting in a hut or on a mountaintop. As a wedding photographer for mountain weddings, I accompany couples at their mountain wedding in the Allg\u00e4u, Oberland, Chiemgau – basically all of Bavaria – Austria and South Tyrol. What makes a mountain wedding so special<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

For me, there is hardly a better backdrop for a wedding than the mountains. The breathtaking panorama and the feeling of freedom does make a wedding in the mountains something very special. Here, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city, only the moment counts – surrounded by the people who are most important to you. Nature offers an incomparable stage, be it on an idyllic alpine hut, by a beautiful mountain lake or with summitview. Mountain weddings are more intimate, personal and full of emotions because they take guests out of their everyday lives and into the midst of adventure. Every season has its own magic – from the blossoming mountain spring to the snowy winter wonderland. Anyone who decides to have a wedding in the mountains loves the natural and incomparable atmosphere that only the mountains can offer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What mountain weddings mean to me as a photographer<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I love the mountains and as a wedding photographer I have specialized in mountain weddings. As this, I accompany couples at their weddingdays around the Allg\u00e4u, Oberland, Chiemgau – basically all of Bavaria – Austria and South Tyrol. In recent years I have been able to climb several peaks with my couples: be it high up on the Pitztal Glacier, the Zugspitze, the Wendelstein, Predigtstuhl to name a few. Also for the wedding ceremony or an after-wedding shoot, we often went high up or used the mountain view in the valley as a backdrop for the pictures.     The best season for your mountain wedding<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Maybe you feel the same way: every year from April onwards, you eagerly wait for the hiking season to start. Then I look through my hiking guide and do some research, only to find that many hiking routes are still covered in snow and huts are closed until June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Of course, this also applies to your wedding in the mountains. Many huts are only open in summer. Depending on the altitude, the main season is from June to the end of September. But your desired location will certainly be able to advise you best on this. And there are not only cool locations high up on the mountain. Many locations are located in the valley and are perhaps ideal for a romantic winter wedding?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In summary, choosing the right season<\/strong> for a mountain wedding is even more important<\/strong>. Are you imagining an outdoor wedding with mountain views and green meadows?
